Castleblayney Community Enterprise is a Community group, constituted as a Company Limited by Guarantee has an impressive track record of over 29 years of service delivery. The group is governed by a Board of 13 Directors and their activities and services are backed up by the advantage of having their own Enterprise Centre building with office accommodation which houses 8 full time and part-time staff, who provide the back-up to plan, co-ordinate and implement their varied programmes. This, backed up by the Board’s own professional inputs positively impacts on the capability and capacity of Castleblayney Community Enterprise to deliver projects on time.
Castleblayney Community Enterprise can cite numerous examples of knowledge and Management competence in this field during their 27 years, which include the fact that:-
The group have successfully managed many projects over the years which have included the delivery of Governmental programmes such as FAS, Social Economy Programmes, Community Employment Schemes and currently the Community Services Programme.
More recently in 2012 – 2014 the group received funding of over €150,000 under the Monaghan Peace Programme III Funding and worked with young people and people from different ethnic backgrounds in an unique project titled ‘One Community Different Cultures’, which used various art forms to promote understanding of different cultures and deal with issues of racism and sectarianism so as to affect full social interaction.
